Jonathan Stock
Managing Director/Publishing Director, Built Environment & Architecture Media/Architecture Today
As MD of Built Environment and Architecture Media I work with the talented and creative teams behind Architecture Today, School of Specification, RegenerativeArchitecture.org, CMA Awards and the Construction & Built Environment Marketing Network.
My track record in architecture and built environment media - and the industry more widely - spans over 30 years, continuously creating opportunities for championing and supporting our professional communities as they have grappled with the challenges and opportunities of our times.
I still relish the challenge of reinventing established media brands in response to the changing needs of our audiences and the realities of a fast-changing media landscape and have overseen the successful relaunch of The Architects’ Journal, RIBA Journal and Architecture Today as multi-media content platforms as well as notable launches such as AJ 40 Under 40, UK Architecture at MIPIM and the World Architecture Festival.
I became an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2023.
I'm a mum of 2 and seasoned marketing professional with 16 years of experience, primarily within the construction and building products sector. Throughout my career, I've delivered award-winning campaigns, successfully launched impactful products, and driven brand growth across the UK and Europe.
Currently serving as the Marketing Manager at Catnic (Tata Steel UK), I specialise in integrating strategic planning, digital tools, and collaborative efforts to achieve meaningful results. My expertise lies in simplifying complex concepts and transforming them into actionable strategies that deliver tangible value.
I’m passionate about pushing boundaries in construction marketing and have had the privilege of judging the Construction Marketing Awards for several years and serving on the CIMCIG committee.
Chartered Marketer | Built Environment Specialist | Passionate About Strategy, People & Growth
I’m a Chartered Marketer (CIM) with over 8 years' experience in the built environment and 20+ years in the marketing profession. Throughout my career I’ve led teams through the constant evolution of marketing — from traditional print to digital-first, from generic messaging to deep audience understanding and data-driven decisions. Starting out in small, family-run businesses, I now lead the marketing function for a multi-million-pound organisation operating across multiple offices in the UK. I’m passionate about driving marketing strategy, developing teams, and staying at the forefront of industry change. I’m always keen to connect with peers working in marketing across the construction and property sector to share ideas, experiences and insights.
I've been meddling with marketing for over 10 years and always had an interest in digital insights. I started out as a journalist once-upon-a-time, writing for Agricultural magazines about pig feed... it's amazing where your career takes you. I then had the chance to move into the built environment and haven't looked back - I love telling stories for brands that are making a real difference to our quality of life, and I (we) have a lot of fun doing that. The digital side of things is where we as an agency excel - I've always enjoyed delivering results that make a positive dent on clients balance books, crafting campaigns that identify new areas of commercial growth and such. Looking forward to connecting with some new (and a few old) faces!
'm Martin Hurn, Event Director of Futurebuild, and I’ve spent the past decade championing innovation, sustainability, and meaningful collaboration across the built environment. I’m proud to lead an event that’s become more than just a showcase — Futurebuild is a catalyst for change, a place where ideas spark action, and where connections drive real impact.
Each year, I work closely with industry pioneers, manufacturers, policymakers, architects, and disruptors to curate a platform that brings the right people together to accelerate progress towards a net-zero future. Whether through our Knowledge Programme, exhibitor community, or the Futurebuild Podcast, my focus is always on turning purpose into progress.
If you’re committed to shaping a better built environment — through innovation, partnership or influence — I’d love to connect. Let’s have a conversation about how we can work together to create lasting impact.
With over 15 years’ experience of strategic marketing in the built environment, I have previously worked at some well-known names within the industry. I’ve had an exciting career so far, working on research projects to unlock growth for companies, implementing strategies for international markets throughout Europe as well as developing and launching products through multi-channel campaigns. Sustainability is a big passion of mine – the ever increasing threat of the climate emergency means that sustainable thinking needs to be at the heart of all strategies. I have experience in reviewing a company’s carbon impact by looking at scopes 1 -3. With this data, I was able to contribute to creating roadmaps and translate them into successful commercial strategy. I’m thrilled to have founded Urban Fox Marketing, which is all my passion and knowledge (and curiosity) poured into a marketing consultancy, tailored to each client.
